INTERNATIONAL INTERNSHIP

All year round we welcome students from all around the world during an international internship at Mecske Zoo (formerly known as Repzootic). During this internship you can learn how to work in a small zoo. The nicest part of it? Well, too much to name! But here are a few great things about doing your internship in Mecske ZOO:

  • Since we are a small zoo, you will help with ALL tasks. The daily animal care, but also medical care, gardening, building and renovating and even making enrichment and education.
  • We work with people from all around the world. So you definitely won't feel lonely, and will have the chance to exchange your language and cultural background.
  • Maybe not the best place for party-lovers, but the silence of the nature and the bright stars in the sky will give you an inner rest everyone is in need of.
  • We work hands-on with most animals. This means you will always have some (furry) company while doing your job.
  • Most of our animals are rescues. Your help is necessary to keep our sanctuary running and growing.

REQUIREMENTS

  • You are 16 years or older
  • You can join us for at least 2 weeks
  • You speak and understand (basic) English
  • You LOVE animals
  • You are ready to go a 100% for the cause
  • You are ready to ENJOY your time in Hungary

WE OFFER

  • A shared guesthouse for our students and volunteers
  • 3 meals / day
  • Help during the preparation, the travel and the stay
  • A necessary safety talk and supervision during the job
  • An unforgettable experience for students and people who want to work with animals

We are accepted as a learning company by SBB, for Dutch students. You can find our information HERE.

It is not necessary to follow an animal related study to come to us. We also accept students who do a Bilingual school program and need an international internship, or students who need to go abroad to do humanitarian work.
